Ages and Weights: Divisions are determined by birth year. No grouping of weight except for open division. 
These are scratch weights. No weight allowance.

Bantam Division: 1999/1998:
 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 80, 90, HWT. 
 
Midget Division: 1997/1996:
 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 103, 112, 120, HWT. 
 
Junior Division: 1995/1994:
 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 112, 120, 130, 140, HWT. 
 
Schoolboy Division: 1993/1992:
 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 112, 119, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, HWT. 
 
Cadet Division: 1991/1990:

1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th will medal. The top 4 will qualify for the Ohio Tournament of Champions. 

Also, the champion of each age division will be awarded a tournament poster. 


Skin Check will be performed. Any questionable wrestlers will be subject to no admittance 
into the tournament. With no refund. The tournament director will have final say on who 
wrestles. Wrestlers can bring a doctor’s note with the wording the wrestler in question 
is “Non Contagious”….But Tournament Director will still have final say. 

SCHSL Certified Referees. 

Pre-Registration: Coaches/Clubs may e-mail a list of wrestlers, with their age and weight 
class as of Thursday March 9th. email: msanders237@direcway.com . 3 coaches per team will 
be permitted free entrance and mat access. Please include the 3 coaches with pre-registration 
form with AAU number. Wrestlers must make weight at weight pre-registered. If a wrestler has 
to be bumped a weight class a $10 bracketing fee will be charged.

Reminder: If wrestlers have to be moved from his/her pre registered bracket there will be 
$10 bracketing fee. 

Athletes and coaches must have AAU cards in order to participate. Order AAU Cards at 
www.aausports.org . Cards will not be on sale at tournament. 

Registration/weigh-ins will be: Firday March 10th from 7:00 – 9:00pm. 

Saturday March 11th from 6:00- 8:00 am 

*****IF WRESTLERS ARE NOT WEIGHED IN BY 8:00 AM ON THE 11TH THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED 
ENTRANCE IN THE TOURNAMENT******* BE ON TIME!!!!!!!! WE REQUEST ALL WRESTLERS BE THERE 
NO LATER THAN 7:30. Weigh-in is over at 8:00am. 

Pre-Registration entry fee: $20.00 per wrestler per weight class wrestled (Pay when you 
arrive if you are on the list). Wrestlers must make weight. In an attempt to start on 
time if wrestlers have to be moved to another bracket there will be an additional $10 fee. 

Day of Registration Fee: $ 30.00 


Hardship: If coaches have any wrestlers that they feel are a hardship case and would need 
financial help for registration contact Michael Sanders and arrangements will be made. 

Wrestlers and Coaches must provide AAU cards at time of registration. Bring card with you!!! 

Wrestlers must have Birth Certificate at tournament in case Age is challenged. 

Procedure of challenging Age: 

Challenging wrestler must contact Michael Sanders or Jerry Wigger before second round of 
wrestler in question brackets begins. 

Challenging wrestler must have AAU card and copy of Birth Certificate to request a challenge. 

Wrestler in question must provide AAU card and Birth Certificate. 

If wrestler in question can not provide Birth Certificate or is not in correct age division 
he/she will forfeit all matches and will not be refunded money. 

In case of the high school division wrestlers must have copy of recent report card. 

Gym doors will open @ 8:00 am 

Wrestling Clinic by ?????? @ 9:45

Wrestling will begin @ 10:30 am 

Match Time: Tot, Bantam, Midgets: 1-1-1 

Junior: 1 ˝, 1 ˝, 1 ˝ 

SB, Cadet, HS, Open: 2-2-2 

15 point tech fall 

No seeding of wrestlers. 

Wrestlers in multiple weight classes will forfeit wait time between matches. 


There will be wrestle backs for a true 2nd place. If wrestler is not available for 2nd place 
challenge match he automatically forfeits. To meet the criteria for challenge of 2nd place 
the challenging wrestler must meet the following criteria: 

1. Wrestler must come in 3rd place. 

2. Wrestler must have lost to 1st place finisher. 

3. Wrestler can not have previously lost to the challenged wrestler (finals loser).

Open to SC wrestlers only 

Admission: FAMILY: $10:00 ADULT: $5.00 

Students (6-12 yrs old): $2 Children 5 & under: Free 

Any appeals about brackets will be made to Michael Sanders. Michael Sanders will have final decision. 

Many colleges will be represented on the day of the tournament. Colleges scheduled to be 
present are Citadel, Limestone, Anderson, Newberry, SMC, and Clemson. 

High School wrestlers that medal(1st, 2nd, 3rd) at the High School State Championships will 
wrestle for free at this AAU State Championship. 

All High School Wrestlers are invited to wrestle. Come see some great match ups with 
High School wrestlers that will not be divided between High School divisions. 

Divisions that are made of Round Robin’s the following criteria be observed to break a 
tie breaker. Criteria 1) Most Pins 

2) Most cumulative Points 

3) Most takedowns 

2006 TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS 

Each team will consist of 2 High School Wrestlers(9th-12th), 5 Middle School Wrestlers(6th-8th), 
and 5 Elementary School Wrestlers(K-5th). Teams must select which division is going to be the 


wrestlers scoring bracket. Teams also select 2 alternates in case 1st teamers have no one 
in their bracket. A team can’t collect a wrestlers’ points if there is noone in that wrestlers’ scoring bracket. 

Clubs may submit multiple teams. However, a wrestler can only score for one team and only for one bracket.

TEAM FEE: $25.00 (donated to Team Palmetto) 

REGISTRATION: Teams must be emailed to msanders@scaauw.org no later than 12:00 midnight Thursday, March 9th. 

Two team trophies will be given to 1st and 2nd place finishing team at the conclusion of the tournament.
