2013 NORTH/SOUTH ALL STAR WRESTLING

Here are the 2013 Best Western North South All Star Wrestling Classic Rosters 
and Coaches. Congratulations are in order for each of these wrestlers. Specifically 
the South Carolina Wrestling Coaches Association would like to feature some of the 
chosen wrestlers:

Dennis Flores- Hanahan
Dennis has won 2 state titles heading into the individual state championships this 
weekend. He has competed several times at the NHSCA wrestling national championships 
finishing as an All American his sophomore year. 

Nate Meager- Lexington
Nate is a returning state champion for the AAAA State champion Lexington Wildcats. 
Nate has also earned All American awards on 3 separate occasions by finishing 
5th, 3rd and 5th, respectively, at the NHSCA National wrestling tournaments. 

J.J. Johnson- Hanahan
J.J. is a returned state champion for the hawks. He also finished 2nd as a freshman 
and as a sophomore. He will not have a chance to defend his title because of an 
emergency appendectomy that caused him to miss the state qualifier. He did return 
to the mat to lead his team to a state runner up finish in the AAA championships. 
J.J. has earned All American status at the NHSCA National wrestling tournament by 
finishing 8th as a sophomore and was a national finalist last season. 


The following wrestlers are looking to win their 2nd state title this weekend 
at the SCHSL individual state tournament, held at the Anderson Civic Center.

The format for the event will be that the 4A/1A North Team will wrestle against 
the 3A/2A South Team and the 3A/2A North Team will wrestle against the 4A/1A South 
Team on Friday March 1st at 6pm. The losers of each dual will then wrestle for 
3rd place and the winners of each dual will wrestle for 1st place at 12 noon on 
Saturday March 2nd. Wrestling will take place at North Myrtle Beach High School.
