SUMMER CAMP
On Monday,
June 6th Thursday, June 9th, the Hard Rock
Wrestling Club and Hillcrest Wrestling Booster Club will host its annual
summer camp. The camp will be held at Hillcrest High School and will run from
5:308:30 in the evening.
Clinicians will cover a variety of skills in all
aspects of the sport including takedowns, offensive and defensive scoring,
pinning combinations, tilts, escapes, and reversals. In addition to collegiate instruction special sessions will cover
freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.
Also covered will be key concepts and ideas on weight control, proper
nutrition and diet, as well as weight training for the sport.
The purpose and intent of the camp is to assist the
experienced wrestler in becoming the quality competitor that he wishes to be,
as well as to introduce the sport to the young athlete with plans of competing
next year. Groups will be divided
according to skill and experience for better instruction.
The
cost of the camp is $65.00, which includes a camp T-shirt. Checks
should be made payable to the Hillcrest Wrestling Booster Club.
A
quality staff will be on hand to assist in all phases of instruction. Camp staff will feature instruction from:
Rising red shirt Senior at
The Citadel, 2x NCAA Qualifier, Top 10 in the Nation in Pins in 2003 and 2004.
State Finalist in New Jersey in 2000. His teaching focus for the camp will be
his "Spike Series" from top that has allowed him to pin so many college
opponents. He will also spend a session on defensive counters and ways to score
falls off your opponents shots.
CRAIG
ALBERS
Rising red shirt Freshman at
The Citadel. 1x State Champion in South Carolina. 3x State Placer in SC. His
teaching focus will be his half/claw/crabride series from top that allowed him
to pin 45 of his 57 opponents his senior year in high school.
ROBBY BELL
Assistant Coach, Hillcrest
High School. 4x State Champion for Hillcrest High School. 2001 NCAA Qualifier
for The Citadel. Team Captain at The Citadel.

Coach, Hard Rock Wrestling Club Head Coach.
