Dear Coaches,
I am the new wrestling coach at West-Oak high school. I am trying to bring back the Warrior’s Dual tournament. I have decided to use a format that I feel is fair so that every team receives the most number of matches allowed in a day. I am looking for this event to be very competitive, and hopefully allow teams to wrestler other teams they are not familiar with. This tournament will be run as fast and as smooth as possible. I will do everything in my power to make sure this tournament is top notch. I have included all the information you will need to know.
Information:
v This will be a Six Team Dual Tournament.
v The Tournament will be one pool with each team receiving 5 matches.
v The winner will be decided by the final overall record of each team.
- Tie Breaker #1 will be decided by the head to head match-up of tied teams.
- Tie Breaker #2 will be number of total points scored the entire day.
- Tie Breaker #3 will be number of total pins per team the entire day.
v There will be a weigh in at 7:00 am with wrestling beginning at 8:30 am.
v The entry fee will be $150 per team. This is for officials.
v We will run two mats the entire day.
v Admission will be $5 per adult, children under 10 free.
v Concession stands will be available. No outside food/drinks allowed in Gym. We will have an area where your team can keep there food and drinks (Cafeteria).
v First, Second, and Third place will receive a trophy.
